OMODA E5 Pro Overview
The OMODA E5 Pro is a compact electric SUV from OMODA, the newer premium sub-brand of Chery, brought to Nepal by SPG Automobiles. Despite the Pro name, it sits below the standard OMODA E5 on paper: it uses a smaller 50.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and a single 99 kW front motor making 288 Nm, for a WLTP-claimed range of 350 km, where the regular E5 runs a larger 61 kWh pack, a stronger 150 kW motor and a longer 430 km claim. Think of the Pro as the more affordable, better-equipped-for-the-money way into the E5 line rather than a hotter version of it.
It measures 4,545 x 1,830 x 1,588 mm, seats five, carries 442 litres of boot space, and rides on a useful 191 mm of ground clearance. The two variants on offer, Single Tone and Dual Tone, are colour-scheme choices and share the same battery, motor and equipment. Where the E5 Pro tries to win buyers is on features and comfort rather than outright speed or range.

What could be better
- The Pro is the lower-output E5, with a 99 kW motor, 50.7 kWh battery and 350 km WLTP claim, so it is calmer and shorter-legged than the standard 150 kW, 61 kWh, 430 km E5, which can confuse buyers who expect Pro to mean more
- Real-world range will sit noticeably under the 350 km WLTP figure once Nepal's hills, AC use and city traffic are factored in, so it is better suited to city and shorter intercity trips than long highway runs
- Home AC charging is limited to 6.6 kW, so a full charge is effectively an overnight job and daily use needs planning around top-ups
- Performance is relaxed rather than quick, with 99 kW and 288 Nm aimed at easy commuting instead of strong acceleration
- Single motor front-wheel drive only, with no all-wheel-drive option for buyers who want extra traction on wet or loose hill roads
