PROTON E.Mas 5 Overview
The Proton e.MAS 5 is a compact electric crossover sold in Nepal by Jagdamba Motors, launched in July 2026 as Proton's second EV here after the e.MAS 7. It shares its platform with the Geely EX2 and is offered in two trims. The Prime has a 30.12 kWh CATL LFP battery, a 58 kW rear motor and 225 km of WLTP range, and the Premium has a 40.16 kWh battery, an 85 kW motor and 325 km of WLTP range.
The Prime peaks at 53 kW on DC and the Premium at 71 kW, and both charge from 30 to 80 percent in about 21 minutes. Both trims get a 14.6-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six airbags, blind-spot detection and vehicle-to-load power, plus a 375-litre boot, a 70-litre front trunk and storage under the rear seat. The Premium adds LED headlamps, 16-inch alloys, a powered tailgate, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking.
