Royal Enfield Scram 440 Overview
The Scram 440 is Royal Enfield's road-biased scrambler derived from the Himalayan, now with a long stroke 443cc air cooled single making 25.4 bhp at 6,250 rpm and 34 Nm at 4,000 rpm, paired with a new 6 speed gearbox. It rides on a 19 inch front and 17 inch rear with dual purpose tyres, long travel suspension (190 mm front, 180 mm rear), 200 mm of ground clearance and dual channel ABS that can be switched off at the rear.
In Nepal it comes as the Trail, with wire spoke wheels and tube-type tyres, and the Force, with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. The 795 mm seat, upright riding position, 15 litre tank, LED headlamp and top box provision make it a practical all-rounder for broken city roads, hill highways and light trails, though the 196 kg weight and basic digi-analogue cluster are reminders of its utilitarian roots.
